We offer six students one week placements. A student on a vacation placement will be able to use the experience to assess whether they wish to pursue a career in law and to gain an insight into what it is like to work at Gardner Leader. It is important that placement students get an overview of the firm as a whole and are able to spend some time within each team. During the placement week we endeavour to give students the opportunity to perform practical tasks such as research, drafting letters, attending client meetings and attending court with a solicitor. The vacation scheme is open to both law and non-law students who have or expect to obtain a minimum 2.1 degree. The vacation placement scheme is applicable only for second or final year law students, final year non-law students and postgraduates. There is no further availability for placements in 2019. Applications for placements during 2020 can be submitted now and will be considered during December with confirmation of placements being sent in January 2020.
