This opportunity sits within our Professional Services Group (PSG) where as Project Manager you will be responsible for the day to day management and delivery of projects and solutions to meet with customers’ requirements. You will thrive on taking ownership of multiple concurrent projects of varying complexity, such as: Implementation of new client sites, Implementation of client driven change requests, delivery of new, bespoke, products as well as upgrades to existing products.

Taking ownership is key to ensure our customers are fulfilled. Collaboration with the business to understand priorities, and requirements, will enable you to successfully and effectively deliver. This role will report to the Project Delivery Director and join an existing team of experts within our project management community.

Position Brief

What you'll be doing...

  • Managing multiple simultaneous work deliveries and projects with an ethos of personal responsibility in all that you do
  • Potentially taking responsibility for an end-to-end portfolio of deliveries
  • Following PM disciplines to:
  • Develop robust work and task plans
  • Define, track and manage resource plans
  • Manage delivery risks, issues and perform associated reporting, escalation and resolution
  • Follow processes and gating practices for quality assurance
  • Engage with teams outside of your immediate department
  • Track and report status
  • Manage budgets
  • Set and meet expectations both internally and externally
  • Produce deliverables on time and on budget
  • Keep all necessary internal systems updated

What we need from you...

  • Detailed knowledge of an industry recognised project management methodology, ideally PRINCE2
  • Ability to engage with users through to board level
  • Demonstrable experience of managing projects simultaneously and delivering business benefits to the customer
  • Excellent understanding of ERP systems or IT Applications within a Software delivery business
  • Ability to agree and baseline customer requirements through effective stakeholder engagement
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness in all aspects of the project lifecycle
  • Competent is the use of project management tools
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Demonstrable project management experience and ideally from within a Software delivery business
  • Industry specific experience would be beneficial such as Builders Merchants, Electrical Wholesalers, Plumbers Merchants to name a few
