 The Role

We are currently seeking a highly-motivated, efficient and proactive individual to join our welcoming and professional Commercial Property team in Newbury.

The primary focus of this role is to provide direct secretarial and administrative support to the fee-earners in the team, enabling them to work at optimum efficiency.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have excellent communication and organisational skills;
  • Be comfortable with self-management, taking a responsive and proactive approach to their duties;
  • Have excellent attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Be proficient in word processing and possess a sound knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook;
  • Familiarity with audio-typing and the use of a case management system(s);
  • Be resilient and able to thrive in a fast paced, high volume work environment and;
  • Have excellent client service skills.

New Business Co-ordintator - FTC

New Homes

Location/Division: 2/ Lakeside

The Role

We are currently seeking a hardworking and driven individual to join our award winning* New Homes Team as New Business Co-ordinator. This individual will be responsible for the supervision, training and assistance to other members of the new business function, and instrumental in keeping the team running smoothly. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for somebody with enthusiasm and drive to join a supportive and professional team. The general duties of the New Business Co-ordinator include, but are not limited to, the following: 

  • The opening of new client matters on the case management system;
  • Logging of date taken from client questionnaires;
  • The approval and logging of client due diligence;
  • Producing sale or purchase corresponding documents;
  • Liaising with clients and conveyancers to ensure prompt return of client instructions;
  • Preparing and issuing marketing material;
  • Training other members of the New Business Team on the above process and;
  • Any other administrative duties as required. 

The successful applicant will be highly motivated, efficient, and looking to provide valuable support to a progressive and hard working team. Excellent organisational skills are required. Prior experience of working in a conveyancing team is not essential as full training will be provided.

This role will be offered as a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave commencing in January 2020.

The New Homes Team is on the preferred buyers solicitors panel of the majority of the top house builders in the country, something which is owed to their professionalism, responsiveness and efficiency. The Team have the knowledge and expertise to deal with a wide spectrum of clients; from those purchasing their very first property, through to experienced property investors.

This permanent role will see the successful candidate operating across the whole department, acting as a flexible fee-earning resource during busy periods, or when there are any absences in the team. The successful candidate must therefore have experience of being responsible for a substantial caseload of conveyancing transactions (ideally with emphasis on new home purchases and part-exchange matters), as well as the tact and versatility to meet the needs of numerous clients, and the demands of a variety of developers.
